Welcome to IBC 2026
Connecting science, industry and innovation for a healthier future
Hosted by the Facilitated Advancement of Australia's Bioactives ARC Training Centre (FAAB) at Macquarie University - this inaugural international conference will bring together leading researchers, innovators, and
industry partners across health, food, agriculture, and biotechnology, alongside international expertise. It will showcase breakthrough discoveries, foster collaboration across sectors, and accelerate the translation of research into practical applications.

Welcome from the Conference Chair

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the inaugural International Bioactives Conference 2026 at Macquarie University. The conference was established to bring together researchers, industry and other organisations working across the broad field of bioactives, from discovery and characterisation through to health applications, product development and translation.
Over three days, we hope to create opportunities to share new research, build connections across disciplines and sectors, and explore where the next opportunities in bioactives research and innovation may lie. We are particularly pleased to bring together an outstanding group of invited speakers alongside researchers and students from Australia and overseas.
I look forward to welcoming you to Macquarie University in September and to what I hope will become an important meeting for the bioactives community.
