Abstract submissions to IBC 2026 close at the end of this month.

Submitting an abstract to a scientific conference can feel daunting, especially early in your career, but it is one of the most valuable ways to build visibility, confidence, and professional networks. Conferences are ideal spaces to share ideas, receive feedback, test new concepts, and connect with others working in your field. For students and emerging researchers in particular, submitting an abstract can be an important step in becoming part of a research community.

A strong abstract does not need to describe a “perfect” project. Reviewers are typically looking for clear aims, sound methods, interesting findings or proposed outcomes, and relevance to the conference theme. Even preliminary data, novel methodologies, industry case studies, or translational approaches can make compelling submissions when presented clearly and concisely.

Clarity matters more than complexity. Simple, direct language is often far more effective than overly technical writing. It is also important to carefully follow the formatting instructions, including word limits, structure, and submission requirements.
